 MARILYN TYREE serves several roles in the band, most importantly as the "band mom." She is one of the three vocal "sisters," but primarily plays alto saxophone and clarinet. She and her husband Steve founded the BBB in 1999. She met Steve, her lead trumpet player, five years ago on an Internet chatroom for "babyboomers." She lured him to Michigan and they have been lived happily-ever since. Marilyn is a former Indiana farm girl, currently practicing trial law for the past 15 years in the area of civil litigation. She serves on the board of directors for the West Michigan Jazz Society. |
