CHUCK HORNUNG adds a strong “bottom”
to the band’s trombone section. Chuck grew up on
the beautiful coast of West Michigan in Ludington where his
father was the band director for 30-plus years. Chuck
began playing trombone in the 4th grade. He
played in the marching band at Central Michigan University,
where he studied business and economics. He also met his
wife of 27 years at CMU. After graduation, he secured
employment in the insurance industry and is currently
employed at Hartford Insurance. Since college, Chuck has
played with the Scottville Clown Band when the opportunities
arise. He also plays in the Kentwood Community Band, a
brass ensemble, and an ensemble that supports the Riverbend
Players.
