BRENDA CRIPPS is a jack-of-all-saxes,
playing either alto, tenor, or baritone sax, filling in
wherever she is needed. Brenda is also a crucial member
of the library committee and handles many other
organizational tasks for the band. She has developed
invaluable spread sheets to keep track of all the band’s
music. Brenda completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science and Math. She then spent 10 years in Colorado and
Oregon working as a software engineer, learning several
different computer languages and operating systems that are
now mostly obsolete. After marrying she decided to stay
home and take care of her family. A few years ago, she
started playing sax again with community bands. Brenda lives
with her husband, two sons, and three cats. She keeps
busy volunteering for Cub Scouts, at her church, and at her
son's school.
