ART
VANDENWYNGAARD comes from a long line of
musical talent. His grandmother played in a local jazz
trio for over 20 years. His mother is a concert pianist who
has soloed with various symphonies while also playing the
carillon in the United States and Europe. Art was destined to
join the musical community. He played through school in
concert, marching and jazz bands and currently plays trumpet
regularly for various music organizations. Art is
currently an avionics engineer, literally, a “rocket
scientist.” He has traveled the world. Art
joined the Beltline Big Band in the fall of 1999.
